Tasting Notes
We source a handful of varietals from the Carlson family every year and we’re always impressed by the intense aromatics we see in the reds from their vineyard. Their Sangiovese is usually one of the driving forces behind LeBlend, and, in more bountiful years, we try to peel a little off for vineyard and varietal designation. 2020 might be one of the best Sangio vintages we’ve seen from CCV. The wine is light and zippy with a vivid Bing cherry character accentuated by a light savory note and a delicate touch of newer French oak. Spend a little time with this one – it’s so pretty!! Only 2 barrels produced.
