Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
In this blend, we seek to harmonize the elegant red fruit, spice and silky femininity of AZ Grenache with the more powerful characters of Syrah and Tempranillo. This wine is becoming a special one for us to highlight the complexity and austerity of Arizona terroir and the beauty of blending. One of our largest blends of the vintage at only 7 barrels.

Destemmed, but not crushed to open top 3⁄4-ton bins. Grenache was left ~15% whole cluster, Syrah ~25% whole cluster. Cold-soaked 24 hours, then inoculated with specially selected yeasts (BRL97, Rhone2056, D254, VRB, CLOS, T73, etc). Hand punched 3-4 times daily. Inoculated with Malolactic bacteria (Omega) around 7 Brix. Pressed at dryness after 9 days average skin contact. Settled 3 days average before barreling.

Sampled at Campe Verde Pecan and Wine festival, and thought it was excellent. Plan on visiting their tasting room and buy more
