Tasting Notes
Due to extremely limited supply, the only Yavapai County (Northern Arizona) fruit we’ve been able to source in our first four years. From Alcantara Vineyards (at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River in Cottonwood) this 66% whole-cluster fermented Merlot is built more like a Nebbiolo. Lighter in color and body, but intensely grippy, tannic and earthy with incredible acid balance. Let it open a bit and the classic Merlot character and cooler, Northern AZ influence pop out. Only 3 barrels produced.
