Tasting Notes
This is our second year working with fruit from Sierra Bonita Vineyard. It’s located north of Willcox in Graham County and is a slightly cooler site where fruit ripens two or three weeks later than it does south of Willcox in Kansas Settlement. We sourced 11 different varietals from the vineyard in 2019 and once again this Roussanne stands out. It comes from a tiny block that produces less than 2 tons every year, but the wine is amazing. The aromatics are so intense and the acidity is so focused, we had to bottle some it by itself again. We think this might just be one of the best Roussannes we’ve ever tasted! Only 45 cases produced.
