2016 Rolling View Vineyard Cabernet Franc

This is our fifth year working with this gorgeous fruit – and it might be our last. We never got much, but we always coveted what we did get. Originally a component in our Lil’ Frankie blends, this Cab Franc has been a stand-alone varietal for the last 3 years. Rolling View Vineyard has an austerity and restraint unlike its next-door neighbors – one that suits Bordeaux varietals especially well. This wine has an amazing interplay of acid and tannin, a cool dusty spice and classic Cab Franc fruit. It’s hard to say goodbye to a good friend. Hopefully we won’t have to...
